The Gujarat government has initiated the Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana. The state government is aiming to help by financial assistance and offer loans at low rates. As per the scheme guidelines, it shall be beneficial for skilled workers, business persons, electricians, and the like persons involved in different economic activities. Main aim of the scheme –
The main aim for launch is to offer help by providing loans at lower rate to a small business person in Gujarat as they are stuck due to the ongoing impacts of lockdown.
Target group under the scheme –
The small business owners of Gujarat are the ones to be benefitted from the scheme. This will mostly include the ones of lower-middle-class group.
Financial assistance for the banks –
The lower income group families will be offered loans up to rupees 1 lakh at a lower rate of 2%. This will help the entrepreneurs to resume their normal life.
Collateral Free Loans –
A total of 10 lakhs beneficiaries will be covered under the scheme and each will be given rupees 1 lakhs at a lower rate of 2% interest. With this, they can start afresh with their business as it is badly impacted due to the extended nationwide lockdown. To get the loans, the candidates have to fill up the form, and for this, no collateral is required. In addition to this, the Gujarat state government will offer the rest of 6% interest loan to the banks under the scheme.

- Skilled workers
- Small entrepreneurs
- Auto rickshaw owners
- People having low income
- Business person of the state – The individuals who want to start small scale business in Gujarat are eligible to register. Some of the categories are barbers, electricians, small entrepreneurs, skilled workers and the like.
- Identification details – Suitable identification documents should be submitted at the time of registration to be scrutinized by higher authority.
- Residential proof – Only the small scale workers who are willing to start a new business or have an existing one can apply. The native residents of Gujarat are eligible to enjoy the scheme benefits.
- Income details –If the entrepreneurs have a small business, they have to offer the income details at the time of applying for the scheme. By considering the annual income, the government authorities can decide whether the person is eligible for the loan benefits.
- Residential documents – The candidates have to produce documents to justify that they are the natives of Gujarat.
- Identification proof – As identification, candidates have to produce Voter ID, ration card, or Aadhaar card at the time of submitting the application form.
- Income certificate – They have to produce a suitable income certificate at the time of registration for the scheme.
Application form for the above-said scheme will be available from 9000 sources. It includes 1000 district co-operative banks, 1400 urban co-operative banks, and more than 7000 credit society facilities. The state co-operative banks, 217 urban branches of the bank including credit societies and 18 district co-operative bank branches will help in this scheme.
However, the application form will be available in all the branches of the district co-operative banks. In addition, the form is available at the credit societies and the urban co-operative bank branches in Gujarat. The candidates have to submit the form along with the required documents mentioned above.
How to apply
Only offline mode of application will be allowed by filling up with correct details in the forms and then submitting the same in the state’s bank branches. The procedure is given below.

Fill it up with correct personal information as any wrong information can result in rejection of the form.
Here, you have to provide your bank and personal contact details. After filling up the form, attach the required documents mentioned above to be scrutinized by higher authorities.
You can also get the form from 9000 places that include 1000 District Co-operative bank branches, 1400 urban bank branches along with more than 7000 credit societies in the state.
You have to submit the form in any of the bank branches of co-operative banks.
The scheme is meant for the ones belonging to MIG or LIG in Gujarat and they will be given collateral-free loans at a lower interest.
The loans will be given to the low income families at a rate of 2%.
The maximum period for which loan can be taken under the scheme is 3 years.
Any candidates willing to start small scale business in the state are eligible to avail of the scheme benefits.
The online application has not yet started. However, the offline mode is available for which candidates have to download the application in the PDF form and submit the same with supporting documents at the district bank branches involved in the scheme.
The candidates can start to repay the loan after 6 months from the disbursement of the loan.
The last date of application for the loan is 31st August 2020.
