The state government of Kerala is launching a scheme called Kerala CM Helping Hand Loan Scheme. The scheme will help the self-help groups of the state that works for the rural women of the state. The importance of self help groups in improving rural economy is vital. They encourage and help the women to earn on their own to improve the financial situation of their family. But, due to the Covid-19 outbreak the work is stopped. So, the government has decided to support the self help group financially. Key features of the Sahayahastham Scheme
Objective of the scheme–
The scheme is designed to help the self help groups that work with rural women in Kerala.
Financial help–
In order to support the self help group the government will provide financial help to the group to overcome the current difficulties.
Loan at zero interest-
Under the scheme the beneficiary can get loan at zero percent rate of interest from the bank or any other government authorized financial institution.
Maximum loan amount–
Under the scheme the beneficiary can get maximum of 20,000 rupees as loan.
Loan repayment tenure–
The beneficiary of the scheme has to repay the loan with three years.
Moratorium period –
Under the scheme, once the loan is drawn the self help groups do not have to pay the installment for first six months.
Mode of payment–
The loan amount will be debited to the bank account of the self help group women by DBT mode.

As the application mode is online, so the process is very simple and anyone can apply.
Budget allocated for scheme–
The state government of Kerala has allotted 20,000 crore rupees for the scheme.
Eligibility criteria
Residents of Kerala–
The applicant has to be the domicile of the state.
Women self help group–
As per the rule of the scheme only the women of the self help group can apply for the scheme.
Registered groups only–
The registered groups can only apply for the scheme to the state government.
Bank account–
The applicant needs to have bank account to be eligible for application.
Documents necessary for application
Residential proofs–
The applicant needs to submit their residential proof to the authority during application.
ID proof–
The applicants need to submit their identity proofs during the time of application. They need to give Aadhar card.
Registration certificate–
The applicants need to submit the registration certificate that is issued by Kerala government.
Details of bank account–
As the money will be credited to the account directly, so the applicant needs to provide account details at the time of application.

- Step 2- Then you need to click on Daily Report option
- Step 3- Once you get the update you can click on Download for further use.

- Step 1- You need to login to the official portal of the scheme
- Step 2– On the home page you will get an option Bank Wise NHG Account Status, click on it
- Step 3- You will get all the details related to bank, application approval status, NHGs linked accounts, etc.
