State government of Maharashtra lead by Uddhav Thackeray has come with an initiative to provide jobs to the people of the state. The government launched a job portal so that people could find the job in the portal. As per the government the portal will provide job at least 80% people of the state. The people of skilled, unskilled and semi-skilled sectors will find appropriate job on the portal. The portal will help the unemployed people to get jobs in the midst of pandemic and economic crisis.
Monitoring the work–
The portal will be monitored by Industrial Development Corporation that is also government-run agency.
The portal covers 17 sectors, over 950 trades like textiles, engineering, logistics, garmenting, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and processing, and automobile.
Recruitment of workers–
As per the survey conducted by MIDC, there are portal will provide opportunities to 50,000 people among which 30% are unskilled, and 70% are skilled.
Domicile of Maharashtra–
The applicant needs to be the permanent resident of Maharashtra to get job from the portal.
To apply on the portal one has to be at least 18 years old.
At the time of application, one needs to provide the identity proof that is authorized by the government
In order to apply for the job you need to provide residential proof that states you are the domicile of the state.
As there is minimum age limit to the applicant needs to submit age proof.
How to register on the portal?

You need to click on the option called ‘Jobseeker Registration’.
- Filling in the form–
You will get a form and you need fill in with appropriate details and then submit.
- OTP verification–
You will get OTP to your mobile and you need to enter the OTP for verification purposes.
- Login to the profile-
After that you need to log in with your email id and password, and you will reached to the home page of the portal.
- Creating profile–
You need to create a profile after logging in and on the profile you need to upload your curriculum vitae.
- Completing the profile–
You need to provide all the details about your skill and preferences on the profile to complete it.
How to apply for the job on the portal?
Searching job– If you have a profile on the portal you need to go to the option called ‘search jobs’.
Using filter– In order to search jobs you can use different filter like sectors, category, skill, location, etc.
Getting notification– The registered candidates will get notification from the portal regarding the vacancy. And you can go to the company and apply for it.
Tracking application– On the portal you can track your application for job by using the tracking ID.
Therefore, it can be said that the government’s initiative to provide jobs to the people who had lost jobs due to the lockdown. The portal will provide opportunities to the migrant workers. It is believed that with the help of the portal the people of the state will be able to overcome the financial crisis.
