The YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme has been launched by the Andhra Pradesh government under the supervision of the state Chief Minister. The state government has announced the scheme to give monetary help to impoverish families to spend in occasions like wedding and other. Key features of the YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme
Monetary assistance –
As per the scheme details, the candidates belonging to the backward class of the society will get financial help from the state government. However, the assistance may vary from one caste to another. A bride belonging to SC, ST, or Labor class will get rupees 1 lakh whereas the one belonging to SC, ST inter-caste will get rupees 1 lakh 25 thousand. Also, the ones belonging to OBC inter caste will get 75000 and OBC will get rupees 50000. For the bride with disability, the monetary grant is rupees 1.5 lakh and the ones from the minority group are rupees 1 lakh.
Monitoring the scheme –
For proper monitoring of the above-said scheme, a team will be formed by the state government that will take care of the selection. The team will select the beneficiaries and also help the candidates during the application procedure.
Eligibility criteria for YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme
Resident of the state –
To become beneficiary of the scheme, the candidate must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates from other states cannot avail the scheme benefits.
Eligible age –
The bribes who wish to get the scheme benefits must be 18 years of age and above. In our country, marriage under 18 years of age is illegal.
Only for the brides –
The scheme will give monetary help only for marriage and therefore, only the brides can apply to get the scheme benefits.
Backward caste –
As per the rules of the above mentioned scheme, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and minority classes can become part of the scheme.
Candidates with physical disability can enroll for the scheme benefits. The disable candidate will get financial benefits under the above-said scheme.
Bride from labor family –
Candidates belonging to unorganized worker’s families or any family working in the construction area will get financial help from the state government.
Family income –
To avail the scheme benefits, certain limit has been fixed on the scheme. Only the families with income lower the decided limit can apply for the scheme benefits.
Residential proof –
The financial help given under YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme is only meant for the marginal classes of the state, the candidate should be permanent resident and provide residential documents at the application.
ID proof –
As ID proof, candidate should produce documents like Aadhaar card, Voter ID card and the like. These will be scrutinized by higher authority before the candidate is considered beneficiary of the scheme.
Age proof –
Age proof certificate should be given at the time of registration under the scheme. The candidate should have minimum of 18 years of age to become eligible to get the scheme benefits.
Caste certificate –
The scheme will offer help to candidates belonging to lower caste of the society. Therefore, the interested candidates have to produce their caste certificate in support of their claim.
The beneficiary must submit recent photograph that will be required at the time of registration. A passport size photograph of both the bride and groom will be required.
Wedding card –
As the scheme benefits are meant for the wedding of the girl, the wedding card should be produced in order to get the scheme benefits. Also, suitable documents should be furnished at the time of registration for the scheme.
Certificate of family income –
Certain income limit has been set as per rules of the state. Therefore, the families opting for the scheme benefits should produce annual family income to validate the limit set by the state government.
How to apply for the YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme?
The scheme announced by the state government will help the backward families of the society but the scheme is yet to be approved by cabinet. Once, it has been approved, candidate can know about its updates from the online portal. Also, no such details of application procedure have come up. As soon as it comes up, the beneficiaries will be the first to know about it. However, for ease of candidates both, offline and online mode of application will be accepted from the candidates.
